Don’t be surprised if you see a few new Samsung Blu-ray players, when you’re next browsing the shelves at your local store or visiting an online retailer’s website. That is because the electronics company is rolling out its new updated 3D capable models – the BD-C5900, BD-C7900 and the BD-C6800.
According to a report by Richard Lawler at engadget.com, the $399 (MSRP) BD-C7900 model actually updates the older BD-C6900 model with two HDMI outs, which is of course useful for those people with an older receiver that isn’t HDMI 1.4 compatible.
Meanwhile, the $279 BD-C6800 model appears to have all the features of the BD-C6900, except for the porthole on top. And it comes in at a lower price! The final updated model that they are offering is the BD-C5900, which has an MSRP of $229 – the cheapest of them all.
However, with the BD-C5900, you are losing the 1GB of internal storage that is featured on the other two players. The product pages on Samsung’s site aren’t all fully updated yet, but we do know that the BD-C5900 model has already arrived at Best Buy and Amazon.
