Pioneer has unveiled two new web-enabled Blu-ray players which are capable of playing YouTube videos and RSS feeds. They come with Internet connectivity through an onboard Ethernet port or an optional WiFi US dongle.
Aside from these selling point features, the new Pioneer players (BDP-330 and BDP-LX53) offer the same things you would expect from Blu-ray players in the market today. This includes internally decoding high resolution Dolbe TrueHD and DTS-HD master audio surround sound and are also BD-Live ready.
The new Pioneer Blu-ray players also support the iControlAV app meaning you can control them using your iPhone or iPod Touch through WiFi.
The two new players will initially be launched in Singapore. The Pioneer BDP-330 will retail for $289 while the Pioneer BDP-LX53 is pegged to cost about $398. There is no word on when the two new Pioneer Blu-ray players would be made available internationally for now.
