Onkyo introduces two new 3D-Ready home theater receivers models by the name Onkyo HT-RC260 and the Onkyo HT-RC270. These are part of the company’s mid-range line of home theater receivers.
The two new models share many features with slight differences. Both the HT-RC260 and the HT-RC270 are 3D Ready, have 7.2 channel sound capability and support HDMI 1.4a. Other features shared by the new home theater receivers are Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Audyssey DSX and Dolby Pro Logic IIz and Faroudja DCDI Cinema processor with 1080p upscaling from any source resolution.
Onkyo’s HT-RC270 has a little more to offer than its sibling. It’s extra features include THX-Select 2Plus certification as well as Audyssey MultiEQ for room equalization. The RC270 is network capable and offer support for DLNA 1.5 and Windows 7 for PC audio as well as Internet radio from Pandora or Rhapsody.
The Onkyo RC260 has a price tag of $499 while the RC270 costs almost double at $849. Both home theater receivers are available right now.
