The PA-MC550 is a nine channel THX Ultra2 Plus certified amplifier packing an analog power amplifier rated at 150 watts per channel @ 8 ohms and up to 400 watts @ 3 ohms. The PA-MC550 packs custom output transistors to insure instantaneous current capability.

Onkyo has taken special measures to eliminate distortion and equipped the PA-MC550 with a three stage inverted Darlington circuit and professional level inputs. This amplifier has been designed to work with the PR-SC5508 preamplifier/processor, including nine balanced line-level XLR inputs for an optimal connection.
